Silicon Devil Bottle Opener

Silicon Devil bottle opener, because even the mundane can be outrageous. A devil made out of silicon.

Available from Hart & Heim, for $9.95.

Slushies & Beer fridges.

Fair warning here, you will want to be doing pretty darn well to be buying yourself these things. The slushie machine pictured will set you back a cool $2295.00. But if it is style at any cost, head over to Bar Fridges Australia and see how much money you can spend.

I have wanted a double glass-door beer fridge for years, but with the good ones costing over $3000 I think I will have to make do with what I have.

FiiK All-Terrain Electric Skateboard

I have been checking out these electric skateboards a lot recently. I don't want to be confined to the bitumen and concrete paths, so an all-terrain board has to be the way to go. All the modern boards have the wireless controllers now, and max speeds of around 30-35Km/h (in this case 37Km/h). What makes this board particularly enticing to me is the 2-3hr run time. Others only manage 30mins to an hour. Priced at $950 they are not cheap, but no more expensive than a lot of other brands that do the same job, with a lot less running time.

I tried contacting their distributor in Perth (Momentum Skate) to check these out in person, but after ignoring my emails, the "Big Daddy" and "Street Surfer" boards have since been removed from their website.

Checkout the FiiK website for all the details/specs and I would suggest looking on their "stockist" place for a shop near you that sells these babies. I found that Surf Connect had the full range on their website.

Replica Eero Aarnio Ball Chair

I have a friend who has one of these. They are a lot more impressive in person, photos do not do them justice. When you sit inside you feel like you are in a protective cocoon and there is a noticeable "ambience" as the background noise of the worl is greatly reduced. Plus, of course, they look amazing.

These replicas are available in Australia! I found them at Interior Secrets.

Ouch! Toothpick holder.

If you're the evil type, perhaps having one of those "The-Ex" knife blocks or something similar, you could complete the look with this rather graphic toothpick holder. The "Ouch!" toothpick holder is $19.95 from Raw Space. Although it appears to be out of stock at this point.

Raw Space

Raw Space - Adelaide store.

In my travels I have come across this company "Raw Space". They appear to have a good online selection of things for the Aussie shopper looking for something a little different, not much of the geeky sort of style I tend to lean towards, but definately unique stuff. Check them out, let me know what you think. Their search function doesn't appear to work so be prepared to go trawling.

UPDATE:  It looks like a lot of their stuff is out of stock or doesn't have info, still worth a look I reckon. You can always contact them if the item you want is out of stock.

Joseph INDEX Chopping boards.

I am a bit of a try hard neat freak. I want everything neat and organised but I can never pull it off. One thing I hate about my kitchen is the lack of a decent storage area for chopping boards. I like these because they are neat, simple, and even I can keep them in order thanks to it's filing system-style tabs.

Mine cost me $70 on Ebay which is quite a premium price for a few chopping boards,  I will let you know my impression of them when they arrive.

You can also get it at OzGadgets.com.au for $74.

"The-Ex" Knife block.

"The-Ex" Knife block definitely makes a statement on your kitchen bench. The first time I saw one I was completely blown away. They are more common than I realised.

They are available over at ThinkGeek.com but here in Australia I have seen them in Thinigz stores.

They are $US69.99 over at ThinkGeek and I would expect a similar price at Thingz stores, although probably not the same quality.

UPDATE: I have found an awesome black/chrome version of this in Australia, right HERE. Unfortunately it comes with a $220 price tag.

Plush-kill. Mount a horse head on your wall!

Mounted animal heads that don't get you in trouble with hippies! I have a friend who actually has one of those real mounted moose heads on his wall. I think these are a much better alternative. There is a mouse, unicorns (pictured) and others.

Head over to http://shanalogic.com/ and do a search for "Plush-Kill" to bring up the whole series.

They are made to order, so expect a bit of a wait.

ShanaLogic ships internationally.
